The Ithaca Free Clinic offers medical care on a walk-in basis, 100% free, for chronic and acute medical problems as well as preventive health care services. Voluntary donations are accepted. The following providers and services are available by appointment only for the uninsured or for people whose health insurance does not cover them: Registered Dietitians, Employment Physicals, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Acupuncture, Chiropractic, Herbal Medicine and Massage. Contact the clinic for an appointment. Dietitians are available every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month from 6pm-8pm. The Ithaca Free Clinic hosts Ithaca Veteran's Acupuncture Clinic every Tuesday from 5-7pm. Five-needle ear acupuncture treatments are provided to veterans and their families. No appointments required. Through a partnership with Ithaca College, the Clinic offers occupational therapy to clinic clients 18+ on Tuesday evenings from 4-7 pm. These services help individuals rebuild their health, independence,and self esteem to help them reengage in self-care, work, and leisure activities following major injuries or illnesses. Common diagnoses that benefit from occupational therapy include musculoskeletal injuries, neurological disorders, mental health issues, cognitive impairments, visual impairments,substance abuse, eating disorders,and work-related injuries. Common areas of intervention include activities of daily living, work retraining, money management and budgeting, healthy meal planning and shopping, community reintegration, parenting skills, safety awareness, range of motion, and strengthening and home management skills. Clinic staff also provide information and help with enrollment in the many local programs that are available to visitors. The clinic also helps patients access health insurance programs, and helps people find health care providers who meet their individual needs. The clinic site hosts Ithaca Health Alliance educational programs to help our community become more informed about health choices, and is a community hub for wellness activities. Space is also available to rent for workshops, classes, or other similar events. Accepts donations of medical supplies and equipment, but has limited storage space. Please contact the clinic before making a donation.

The Skylight Club is a continuing day treatment program that provides psychiatric and rehabilitative programs for eligible adults. Assessment and treatment planning prior to and during program case management is provided. Pre-vocational activities and groups, crisis services, and medication therapies are available. Clients can participate in verbal therapy individually or in family and group settings. Social training activities, socialization opportunities, volunteer placement, and task and skill training is provided.

The William George Agency for Childrens' Services supplies institutionalized residential treatment for socially and emotionally handicapped boys ages 12-17 and girls of high school age. There is an on-campus school, recreation and work-experience program. Regular treatment is provided through individual counseling and therapeutic groups by professional social workers and psychologists. Current capacity: 193, of which 52 beds are in the Boys' Hard-to-Place ("Critical Care") program and 12 are in the Girls' Hard-to-Place ("Critical Care") program, 20 are for sex offenders, 27 are for dually diagnosed youth (mentally retarded/emotionally disturbed), 9 are in an intensive residential substance abuse program, and 73 are in a less structured, open-campus program. Referrals may be made by Departments of Social Services, Probation, school districts or the Office of Children & Family Services.
